Financing
Financing programs for energy-efficient home improvements can help reduce upfront costs and make upgrades more affordable. These programs often offer low-interest loans, and tax incentives to support energy-saving projects.
GoGreen Financing
Finance up to 100% of the cost of energy-efficient upgrades through the GoGreen Financing program. This initiative allows California homeowners and renters to access affordable financing for a wide range of energy efficiency and electrification measures. Financing can be paired with other rebates and incentives, and is available to both property owners and tenants who meet eligibility criteria.
FlexMarket Zero Interest Loan
The NEIF FlexMarket program offers 0% interest financing for up to two years on qualifying home improvements. This affordable financing option is available to California residents who undertake energy-efficient home improvements vetted by Franklin Energy. The program is designed for owner-occupied single-family homes, including primary and secondary residences.
PACE Financing Program
Renew Financial’s Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program allows homeowners in participating communities to finance energy-efficient home improvements with no money down and competitive fixed interest rates. Terms of up to 30 years are available for some projects. Eligibility is primarily based on home equity rather than credit score.
Federal Tax Credit
Federal Tax Credit
The Federal Tax Credit allows homeowners to save up to $2,000 on heat pump installations, both ducted and ductless, by covering 30% of costs, including labor. This credit is available for products purchased and installed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032. The tax credit applies to existing homes only, not new construction.

Rebates
Rebates for HVAC systems can save you money on both ducted and ductless heat pumps. These programs help reduce upfront costs and promote energy efficiency.
State Rebate
Save $1,000 per unit on eligible heat pumps, both ducted (central air, HVAC) and ductless (mini-split). Up to two incentivized systems per home can qualify for a total rebate of $2,000. The program is available for retrofit projects where non-heat pump systems are upgraded to heat pump systems. All equipment must meet Title 24 code minimum standards and be AHRI matched. This rebate is available only through TECH-enrolled contractors and applies to single-family homes.
Comfortably CA Rebate
Receive up to $100+ per ton for eligible Residential Packaged or Split System Heat Pumps. The rebate applies when an existing residential central air conditioner and natural gas furnace are replaced with a new packaged or split system heat pump. Gas lines must be capped off according to local codes. This rebate is only available if there is a substitution of natural gas for space heating, and it is offered through Comfortably CA Participating Distributors.
BAAQMD Rebate
Save $3,000 – $13,500 on ducted (central air, HVAC) and ductless (mini-split) heat pumps. To qualify, you must scrap an existing operational freestanding wood stove or wood-burning fireplace insert. Apply for the Clean HEET program and receive a Notice to Proceed from BAAQMD before starting any work. This offer is available to homeowners of multi-family and single-family homes.
SCP Rebate
Save $1,000 per unit on ducted (central air, HVAC) heat pumps. To qualify, specific models for hydronic heat pumps must be Energy Star certified. This rebate is available in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties, with one rebate per technology type per home. Eligible applicants include homeowners and renters of single-family homes.
QuitCarbon Rebate
Save $100 – $200 on heat pumps, both ducted (central air, HVAC) and ductless (mini-split) systems. To qualify, projects must be completed by a contractor referred by QuitCarbon, and clients must complete a free QuitCarbon home evaluation. The rebate is $100 for the first electrification measure and $200 for the second, with a maximum of $300 per customer. This offer is available to homeowners and renters of single-family homes.

You may also be eligible for a federal tax incentive of up to $2,600, which includes both the appliance and panel upgrade. The higher rebate amount is available only for existing buildings replacing a gas appliance. This offer is open to contractors, homeowners, and renters for multi-family and single-family homes.
